After graduating from law school, Taylor worked with Fisher & Phillips LLP, specializing in employment and labor law. She joined the department in March 2014 as the Deputy Director of Administration. In this role, Taylor provided oversight of human resources, procurement and financial personnel. Taylor is a former South Carolina Director of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. She was first appointed to the position by Governor Nikki Haley (R) on December 8, 2014 and confirmed by the state Senate on February 12, 2015.Taylor left the position in July 2016 to become Governor Haley’s new chief legal counsel. She currently works for the South Carolina Medical Association.
