Ms. Burton has over 20 years of experience advising and representing businesses and executive-level employees on human resources and employment law issues. She has extensive experience in Texas and federal courts in employment litigation. Ms. Burton advises business clients on day-to-day personnel issues, on risk prevention strategies, has represented business clients in wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, ADA, Fair Labor Standards Act, covenants not to compete and confidentiality/trade secret cases, provides training for employers, and advises clients on how to respond to and manage Department of Labor audits. Ms. Burton speaks frequently on employment law issues and has served on numerous professional organizations’ boards as chairperson and president including past chair of the Travis County Women Lawyers Foundation. She was awarded her J.D. degree from Baylor Law School, and her B.S. from the University of Texas at Austin.
